Review of HR Strategies Linked to Achieving National Economic Diversification Goals 

Muscat, Oman - On June 10th, 2024, Al Bustan Palace, Muscat 

The Ministry of Labor organized a seminar on human resources strategies, held under the auspices of Sheikh Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Shihi, Advisor to the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, with the participation of several officials and specialists in the field of human resources.

The seminar discussed the concept of human resources development for employees in the public sector, focusing on the use of innovative and modern practices to enhance work environments and support the economic diversification goals of the Sultanate.

Additionally, the seminar highlighted the role of human resources in implementing and sustaining change within organizations, emphasizing the importance of leadership and management practices that support employee engagement and performance improvement.

Participants reviewed the most prominent modern strategies in human resources management, which contribute to improving productivity and achieving national goals, including the integration of technology in human resources processes and the adoption of best practices in performance management.

The seminar concluded with recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of human resources strategies in government institutions and to continue efforts in training and developing human capital to support the overall economic diversification strategy of the Sultanate.

The workshop saw participation from a diverse group of professionals and stakeholders, including representatives from government agencies, businesses, and non-governmental organizations. The event featured keynote speakers, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, all centered around the theme of transitioning to a more circular and sustainable economy.
